Our Mission:
United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 470 is an Organization of Carpenters whose aim is to promote and protect the interest of our membership, to elevate the moral, intellectual, and social conditions of all working men and women, to assist each other in times of sickness and distress, to discourage piecework, to encourage apprenticeship and a higher standard of skill, to cultivate a feeling of friendship, and to assist each other to secure employment. We also wish to develop, improve and enforce the program and standards of OSHA, to reduce the hours of daily labor, to secure adequate pay for our work and to promote and protect the health and retirement of our members and their families through health and pension benefits.
Our Members:
Our members work hard to ensure that we are the most qualified and highest trained personnel available to ensure that any project we work on is built to the highest quality standards available in the market today. Many of our members attend Journeyman Update Classes regularly and our Apprenticeship program is unmatched in the industry.
